Founded in the mid 70’s. Since the 1990’s and under the new management the gallery had a pioneering role in the diffusion of Plastic Arts through the presentation of foreign artists in Egypt and the promotion of young Egyptian artists on both the local and foreign level.
The preference for innovative languages freed from any decorative components, which has been dominating till then the Egyptian Artistic Panorama, as well as originality and power of the art pieces, has always been the criteria for the rigorous choice of the introduced artists.
Amongst the founding members of El Nitaq Downtown Art Festival, the gallery collaborate in an intensive activity of exchanges with private galleries in Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Tunisia and other countries.
It has as well regularly hosted different artistic manifestations such as concerts, theatre pieces, experimental films, poetic lectures, and discussions. Actually the gallery is in the process of introducing a series of artistic photography workshops on an ongoing basis.
